Nope! If you do have WiFi at home, MiiCare will connect right out of the box if you configure it when ordering. If not, we’ve got you covered. We’ll simply include a cell-data modem in the box for you. Simply plug it in near a window by MiiCube, and you’ll be connected anywhere there’s adequate cell service. A small monthly fee applies for this service.
Your personal safety and security is our priority and we’ve made every effort to prevent unsolicited access as we know the implications of your data landing in the wrong hands. There are no cameras, ever, and Monica’s wake word is an entirely-offline system that doesn’t record or stream any audio to the internet. Our service meets the criteria of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 ISMS requirements standard and all our staff, processes, and operations are designed to be in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.
Starting at 1 a day (30 per month) for one user all packages come with:
- All communication costs between MiiCube and the cloud
- All Monica content and music channels

- Costs of the mobile app and web dashboard
Absolutely! There is no need to be tech-savvy to install the MiiCare system thanks to the years of research that went into the product development with older adults. All you need to do is take MiiCube out of the box, plug in the cable provided, place or stick the labeled sensors around your house, and you’re ready to go. Monica will guide you by voice when needed. We have a clear manual, troubleshooting guide, and a friendly support team if you’re ever unsure.
For the user at home, Monica can gently remind them to take their medicine and let them know if it’s the right or wrong time to take a sensor-equipped medicine, remind to drink water to stay hydrated and encourage or congratulate hydration habits when using a smart mug. Monica can also remind them to stay active and congratulate them on their step goals. More capabilities like appointment and visitor reminders are coming soon!
Yes! Just ask Monica to play a genre of your choice, and she’ll play it for free! Monica also has her favorites from over the years if you’re not sure what you’d like. MiiCube is also a Spotify-compatible speaker! Find it on your device list in the Spotify app.
You’ll know! The MiiCare app and dashboard will show the user as “out,” and what time they left. If they have a wearable, steps and activity will still be counted, and will update to the app and dashboard upon their return home. If you are especially worried about a user when they leave the house, please let us know as we can provide a GPS-equipped safety device to accompany the MiiCare package.
Yes, but you might be seeing double! Two or more people at home can become complicated to view on the dashboard. The MiiCare system is primarily designed for those living alone at home in need of support, but we are hard at work expanding our capabilities when it comes to multiple routines and health needs at once. More general features and insights will still be possible, but solitary users will see the most benefit from the current solution.
